Without the generous support of many sponsors from the Victoria community,
the tireless work of our event committees, and the enthusiastic participation of
our wonderful guests, none of the work we do here at YES would be possible.
Fund raising through these events helps to maintain the sustainability of the
many VYES programs. In 2009, YES will be hosting three major events, where
Victorians can come out, have a blast, and contribute to helping youth to make
positive choices!

SOUPER BOWLS OF HOPE
Presented by: The South Vancouver Island Potter's Guild

Souper Bowls is an annual event that brings the community of Greater Victoria
together to help fund the much needed YES programs, like the Summer
Opportunities Program (SOP) for youth at risk in the downtown core. Each year
the Souper Bowls of Hope attracts 100's of supporters that are given the opportunity
to select a hand crafted bowl, dine on soup prepared by master chefs, listen to local
musicians and participate in both live and silent auctions.

THE MAYOR'S CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT
Presented by: The City of Victoria & Mayor Dean Fortin

Each year for the past 9 years, spring has brought with it the annual Victoria Mayor's
Golf Tournament. All proceeds from this event are used to support programs of the
Victoria Youth Empowerment Society. Our new Mayor, Dean Fortin, has
confirmed that he will be carrying on this Victoria tradition!

This year, the Mayor's Golf Classic Tournament will be Wednesday, May 6th at Cedar Hill Golf Course.
