F/T Youth Outreach Worker

Victoria Youth Empowerment Society seeks applicants for F/T Youth Outreach Worker, a partnership with Victoria City Police. 
The ideal candidate will possess an appropriate degree and three years work experience with at risk adolescents. 
A combination of training, education, and experience may be considered.  Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of the
system of care and the issues faced by at-risk youth.  The candidate will possess well developed interpersonal, counselling,
oral and written communications and crisis intervention skills.  This position is required to work in a stressful environment,
often dealing with youth in crisis situation, and is required to work outside of normal office hours.  
Starting Salary range is 35,000-37,000. Deadline for this position is March 19, 2010.
